Pleasant surprise. It's difficult to find decent Mexican Food in the Rockies, but this place is legit. No taco shells from a box here. We love Mexican breakfast and they had a variety of choices for that. Huevos rancheros, chorizo & eggs, machaca, enchiladas & eggs. We were so happy. The service was spectacular. We got there right when they opened on a Sunday and the dining room filled up fast with both locals and tourists. The food arrived quickly and tasted great. My husband had the machaca & eggs and I had the cheese enchiladas and eggs, with a mimosa, of course! If we are ever in the area, we will absolutely return.
Wrote a long review that disappeared when I tried to upload photos.Suffice to say all three meals were great and this the first place on this trip where we want to come back to instead of exploring new places. First restaurant I have found in Colorado that serves chiles en nogada and it was great.
Ate breakfast at Los Dos Charros Mexican Restaurant this morning. It was incredible. I got the chilaquiles with Barbacoa, and my bf got the churro French toast. The vibes were immaculate, the service was fantastic and the food even better. So much flavor and the presentation was great too! Probably my favorite place I've tried so far.
We stopped by during our trip and it was one of the best fajita I had recently. Quantity was enough for me and my wife.
First time having breakfast here, and it was Amazing! Best chilaquiles I've eaten in my life! Service with stellar, very friendly and they were on top of everything. Highly recommended! Breakfast only on weekends I believe? Open at 9:00 a.m.
We were told, eat here...this is where the locals go. Not sure if that is true, but I can tell you we could understand why and we will definitely be back. The setting is great. I find many times when you go into a smaller town, the building is older and not specific to the style of restaurant. Whoever set this up did a great job, from the flooring to the booths, to the wall decor, ceiling decor and the amazing and beautiful mural. The atmosphere was awesome! I only rated the service as a 4 because there was no banter or personality from our server. The service was good, but I feel like the experience would have been better had they talked with us and been more personable. Now, the food...my wife couldn't have been happier with her breakfast burrito, especially the charred green chile. I had chelaquiles for my first time with half green and half red. They were amazing. The kids had churro french toast and the flavor and consistency were so good. We couldn't have been happier and can't wait to come back! Thank you!
We were leaving Pagosa and needed to stop for some breakfast. They had just opened when we arrived so there was no wait, and they were able to seat us all together- party of 8. Staff was friendly and attentive. All our orders were correct. Food was good. We tried the carne asada plate, the pancake special, omelet, and chorizo plate. They have a salsa bar on the side. Reasonably priced. Bathrooms were clean.
